SOLUTION

Our solution of providing a rental package unit met the short timeline and provided the air quality needed to remain operational according to CDC-issued guidelines.  The fixed cost of the rental also worked well given the capital constraints. In summary, the equipment was installed within 24 hours of approval, avoiding the six-to-eight-week lead time for new equipment. Being able to remove the equipment and cost once it was no longer needed, was an additional benefit.

Results

Our package unit was able to provide the critical care facility with the amount of outside air they needed to circulate fresh air for the COVID-19 patient rooms. In addition to adequately condition the room, it also helped mitigate the contaminated air from recirculating into other rooms within the system.
